Introduction of Malaysia

Synopsis

Malaysia is a country in Southeast Asia. The federal constitutional monarchy consists of thirteen states and three federal territories.Kuala Lumpur is the national capital. Malaysia is separated by the South China Sea into two regions, Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo's East Malaysia. Peninsular Malaysia shares a land and maritime border with Thailand and maritime borders with Singapore, Vietnam, and Indonesia. East Malaysia shares land and maritime borders with Brunei and Indonesia and a maritime border with the Philippines and Vietnam. Kuala Lumpur is the national capital.

Culture

The Malaysian population consists of people of different races, religions and races. The largest group of Malaysians consist of three main races, namely the Malays, Chinese and Indians. Orang Asli are the natives in Peninsular Malaysia and are generally divided into three major groups, namely the Negrito, Senoi and Proto-Malay. Sabah’s population consists of 32 ethnic groups and the major ethnic is Kadazandusun while Sarawak's population consists of 27 ethnic groups and Iban is the major ethnic group.

 

Cuisine

The Malaysian cuisine is a mixture of cooking cultures from India, China, the Middle East, Indonesia, and several European countries. This diverse culinary culture stems from Malaysia's diverse culture and colonial past. The cuisine was developed as a melange between local and foreign. Malaysian cuisine uses rice or noodles as the staple food, usually with meat or fish cooked in different ways as the main dish, with steamed vegetables on a plate. The main course food is mostly eaten with sauce for example sambal, belacan, soy sauce and so on.
