Culture

In Finland's climate, foreign aggression, special geographical location and historical conditions, Finns have formed a very unique national characteristic and culture. The spirit of SISU is one of them. SISU is pronounced [see-su]. This is an ancient Finnish concept from the 16th century. This is the unique willpower of Finns, and it is a way to never give up and change challenges. The attitude of opportunity also implies motivation and determination. There are 6 rules for cultivating SISU: 1. Look back, 2. Feel fear, 3. Don't accept "No" lightly, 4. Rest, 5. Force yourself crazy, 6. Take steps, and don't forget to take the next step.

Cuisine

Whole-grain products and berries characterize the Finnish diet. In the past, Finns often used carrot in their dishes until the potato was introduced in the 18th century and replaced it. Nowadays, the Finnish cooking style combines traditional local cuisine with contemporary European haute cuisine style. In Finland, berry bushes can be found in the every courtyard of a household. In the outdoor market in summer, you will definitely see all kinds of berries. Berries can be made with juice, jam, Winemaking, etc.
