Through this internship in Australia, I not only saw the medical equipment in different hospitals but also saw that due to different countries and institutions with different ways of care, they exchanged each other's conventions and discussed the differences between them. They had a deeper understanding of nursing and found that the original working mode of nursing staff in foreign countries was the same. I also participated in Tzu Chi-related activities, such as the Tzu Chi Youth Living Camp, food distribution, etc. For me, who am not a graduate of the Tzu Chi system, I have a better understanding of Tzu Chi and what Tzu Chi volunteers abroad are doing. The environment and attitude in the hospital are most impressive. In the ward, nurses and doctors can be seen to have close communication with patients. The nurse practitioner is often concerned about patients. Doctors and pharmacists also come to discuss the condition with patients clinically. When receiving the education from lecturers, they can also feel the enthusiasm and respect of educators for nursing. It is hoped that in the future, a clinical professional attitude and enthusiasm for caring for patients can also be shown clinically. (護四三乙 0)

Through this exchange activity, we can see the differences between Taiwan Province's medical system and Australia's. Taking the allocation of hospital work as an example, we can find that the allocation in Australia is relatively detailed. For example, physical therapists can be divided into two categories: foot physical therapists and physical therapists. Compared with Taiwan Province, where there are only physical therapists, let's take the nursing class as an example. Australian nursing staff has more working classes, and each class can do almost nothing repetitive, so they have a higher degree of professionalism. Due to the fine distribution of medical work and the high level of professionalism in Australia, it is not easy for each full-time job to be replaced. In addition, Australia adopts the teamwork mode and undertakes daily treatment projects together. Compared with the nursing working environment in Taiwan Province, it can reduce the working pressure of nursing staff and increase team cohesion. (護二一乙 0)

This activity made me grow up and learn about the international outlook on nursing and English ability. The international view of nursing made me understand the difference between nursing in Australia and Taiwan Province. For example, this trip made me feel that nursing in Australia was more time to chat with patients, and the nurse practitioner I saw in Australia was very kind and warm, and the workload was lighter. Finally, I think my English ability has improved because I have learned a lot of new English words. (護四四甲 鄭0)

The preparation before the trip, from the traffic, sign language, visit group, understand the team members' advantages and habits when going abroad can achieve perfect team cooperation, their own planning transportation to visit the hospital, learn to face things to do enough preparation in advance, to find solutions, independent, and the ability of contingency, know Australia's bus there is no stop sign, need to pay attention to the arrival time and stop name; Whether it is the teaching in the ward, the school visit, the family visit, or the questions raised in the meeting, all these urge me to listen hard, speak with my heart, express bravely, and gain something, such as learning single words, speaking colloquially, and improving the integration ability. After the overseas internship in Australia, I found that many Australian medical systems were different from those in Taiwan Province, such as discharge conversion rehabilitation program, transit lounge (a place where patients who are about to be discharged wait for their families), etc. but what I learned most was that during the internship, I found that Australian nursing staff was more independent and autonomous than those in Taiwan Province. Nursing staff in Taiwan Province tended to follow doctor's advice and seldom discussed with doctors what medical treatment was suitable for patients. The decline in critical thinking of nursing staff in such an environment is also a lack of ability for me. However, in Australia, nursing staff can refute doctors and put forward their views only on the premise that patient health care is the best consideration and each role is the most important and respectful to each other. Creating a friendly and respectful medical environment is the place where Taiwan Province needs to improve and improve. In addition, due to the fine division of labor and the guidance of team care, communication and respect between teams have received special attention. I am very lucky to have this opportunity to have an in-depth understanding of Australia's medical system. I even talked with the senior students in the ward about the working procedures and practices of noviciate nursing, which also allowed us to learn more about Australia's medical environment.  (護二一乙 0)
